Career audit and review

Many people have regular appraisal meetings with their line managers. Some are fortunate enough to emerge with a clear idea of how their career is progressing and what goals they want to achieve next. Many, however, have little idea of where they stand within their organisation or what skills they should develop or how to move up the ladder.

This is where Future Indicatives can help. We will help you:

  • Review your career to date and how and why you made certain decisions affecting your career.
  • Help you identify what skills you have, what motivates you, your personal values and your ideal work roles and environments.
  • Establish what skills you want to develop.
  • Set out your future goals.

You will end up with an action plan of what you both want and need to do and a time frame in which to achieve your goals.

If you are about to take a break from work, for example, to have children or are taking a sabbatical, you may find it very beneficial to have a career audit and review after which you will have:

  • A review of your career to date.
  • A CV which accurately summarises your career which you can then use when you want to return to work.
  • Stories which illustrate your skills and achievements for you to use when being interviewed for jobs in the future.

Depending on your requirements, you may only need one or two sessions. The service is based on a number of confidential one-to-one meetings, normally arranged at intervals of about one or two weeks. Email and telephone support is also given.
